we made it!

Well, we made it and it´s been a blast so far. We have been spending every morning doing work around the YWAM base here, the afternoons we have been learning dramas to use for ministry. It has been a lot of work, but we saw the results of it this last weekend. Friday we went to a school and put on a presentation. A young girl recieved Jesus and many youth came forward to pray that they would allow God to change them so they could make a change in their families.
Saturday we did a street service as you see in the pictures. One of our team member lead a gentleman to the Lord. It was an awesome time.
Sunday we ran the whole service of a small church. It was awesome to encourage them and pray for them. God really helped us all and spoke through the team. It was beautiful. The pastor invited people up from who wanted prayer at the end, and we were able to pray for many people. Many women were broken over their lost children. I held one sweet lady as she wept on my sholder as she reconciled her life with God and prayed for her children too. I was overwhelmed by what God was doing.
We are very excited for what lies ahead. I hope to tell you more and more as time goes on. Please pray for us as we will be doing street children´s ministry this Saturday followed by a church service in a really poor and rough area.
God bless!

on our way

Well, we leave tomorrow (actually today since it is 1am) for Iquitos, Peru! This is a picture of the team that I will be leading down to the Amazon. I am on the right and my fearless co-leader Amy is on the left side of the group. They are an awesome bunch of people and I honestly think that we are going to spend a lot of time laughing. I am so excited to see some friends again that I made last time I was there. I am also so excited to see what kind of crazy things God has planned this time around. I know that I am going to have to face my weaknesses in so many ways, but at the same time, like my mom reminded me the other day, see God's strength through them also.
We will be spending December in Iquitos, an amazing city on the edge of the Amazon River. We will be getting trained and learn dramas to use for our ministry out deeper in the jungle. Then on Janurary 2 we will head down the rivers and minister to the people there. I will do my best to blog as often as I can to give you updates on how things go. Please email me anytime.
God bless you all!
